Mythical Connotation

I often find ancient stories, tied with religion, having different connotation, they imply something astonishing.

In western civilization there is famous story of Adam and Eve. They were the early man and woman, may be our ancestors. They were told not to eat fruit from a tree which could provide the idea of good and bad. But, they happened to do so.
